Fyzikálne vlastnosti HDPE predlžujú životnosť?

2020-09-21

High-density polyethylene (HDPE) is a plastic, known for its high-strength density ratio, flexibility and chemical stability, and is an ideal choice for pressure and non-pressure pipeline applications. HDPE pipe is usually made of PE100 resin, and its density ranges from 930 to 970 kg/m 3, which is about 7 times that of steel. Lighter pipes are easier to transport and install. At the same time, HDPE has high strength and good insulation. HDPE is not affected by electrochemical corrosion processes, and it is common for pipes to be exposed to salt, acid and alkali.

The smooth surface of HDPE pipe will not be corroded, the friction is low, and the plastic pipe is not easily affected by the growth of microorganisms. This ability to resist corrosion and constant flow makes the maintenance requirements of HDPE pipe very low. HDPE pipes can be made of reinforced resin classified as PE100-RC, which is increased to slow crack growth.

The pipes produced can have a very long service life, and HDPE has economic advantages in the life cycle of the project.
